About the Role;

Infrastructure Solutions- Business Development

Trianz is looking for a Business Development representative to cover the Western United States as part of its exploding global infrastructure practice. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in the infrastructure space with a strong aptitude of software, services and managed services. The business development representative will be responsible for positioning key Trianz offerings with new client prospects in the western US. The representative will be supported by a global organization that includes a strong digital marketing team, inside sales representatives and a pre-sales technical support team as starters.
The chosen representative will also have the strength of several global partnerships such as IBM, ServiceNow, Cisco, and others.
The business development representative will be responsible for the development, advancement and closure of opportunities in their given territory. This role reports into the VP of new client relationships. Responsibilities of the business development representative shall include but not be limited to:
Skills
  • Pursue and maintain certifications related to any of our partners that require sales certifications in addition to any certifications Trianz deems important as a pre-requisite to the role
    • One example is AWS certification
  • Follow up on leads from
    • marketing campaigns, conferences, advertising, Inside sales, Linkedin outreach and other inbound and outbound lead generating tactics
  • Create your own leads from existing relationships as prudent and/or through request for referrals from clients your develop
  • Develop relationships with sellers on the ground for your various partners, highlight to them the work we do, maintain a communication strategy with them either directly or with the help of marketing
    • This should be viewed as communication and a very tertiary means for opportunity development.
  • Work closely with counterparts from the inside sales team to
    • review scripts on a regular basis for effectiveness
    • review effectiveness of emails, Linkedin and other outreach
    • define targeted clients to try and penetrate and jointly create a strategy
    • communicate effectively to develop and advance opportunities
  • Leverage the Trianz off shore marketing support team as necessary for proposal development, RFP responses and other needs
  • Leverage pre-sales technical support team to deliver presentations, demonstrations, pilots, proofs of concept and other required deliverables to progress the sale
  • Travel as needed to client sites, technical conferences, training, team and company functions
  • Position Trianz's growing managed services business and remote management capabilities with every opportunity (as prudent or relevant)
Competencies
  • Work with extended members of the team included proposal assurance team to develop and deliver proposals, SOW's, RFP's
  • Leverage your knowledge of the infrastructure field to demonstrate expertise in the domain as it pertains to the solutions we deliver and the evolution of the field
    • Stay current on industry trends, news, analyst insights and related topics
  • Leverage existing or create appropriate materials to present to prospects throughout the opportunity development phases
  • Demonstrate command of meetings and presentations based on your experience
  • Work with the local marketing team for any initiatives you want to run in territory or to understand any campaigns they are running on behalf of the organization
