Front End Developer/Engineer

Our Online Client is looking for an experienced, self-driven Front End Engineer to design, build and manage the customer checkout experience powering our 300+ existing and future cloud service e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will lead a team working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment on our client's Global Operations team.

Responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of our checkout with a focus on secure, bullet-proof payment integrations, and in accordance with global/local regulations including PCI-DSS/SOX, etc.. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced org that is experiencing massive growth evolving into a cloud-based infrastructure. The Engineer should be able to balance competing priorities with attention to detail, creative problem solving, be naturally curious and driven to excellence; with an eagerness to be part of the rapidly evolving tools and platforms.

Candidate must be a motivated high performer who can leverage ideas on deploying solutions with new payment methods and vendors with a focus on customer experience, while troubleshooting and resolving any issues when an area is not working as expected.

Candidate will provide advice regarding payment industry trends, key technologies as well as presenting at meetings.

    • Technology standards, nomenclatures and processes for Payment Integration globally
    • Team oversight and code review responsibilities, and documentation

  • Expert knowledge of E-Commerce, payment gateways & global regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Source Control/ Build Automation: GIT, Jenkins
  • Web front end: JS, Angular.JS, Webpack, Grunt, Redis, ReactJS, AWS API, Drupal 7
  • Web back end: NoSql, Java, Perl CakePHP 2.x framework, RabbitMQ, Monit/MMonit, Nginx, NodeJS, Java, Drupal, AWS SQS, Jenkins
  • Mobile platforms: iOS SDK, Android SDK, other mobile SDKs
  • Agile Scrum: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins
  • BI/DW: DynamoDB, RDS, MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle
  • CMS: Drupal
  • Cloud based infrastructure: Amazon Web Services, Microservices
  • Adept at analyzing process flows, architecture designs and implementations and like to address real world problems with engineering solutions that scale and have the ability to work with multiple teams concurrently at a technical and business level.
  • Work closely with our business partners, product development, technology and user experience design teams to assess, design and implement new digital products and services.
  • Lead technical engagements with various digital players to design payment solutions with a customer focus
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience required
• Expert level technical experience in payments on the product development, processing, and/or merchant side of the business
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies (HTML5, CSS, JS etc.), and designing and implementing software a strong plus
• Excellent technical understanding and experience working with developers and technical architects in systems and solutions development or design

• Knowledge of techniques for requirements capture and specification and the ability to balance tactical commercial needs against the needs of strategic architecture
• Self-starter, strong analytical ability with good attention to detail and a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
