POSITION SUMMARY:

The JD Edwards Developer will define, design, develop, test, analyze and maintain new software applications in support of business requirements. This role is also responsible for helping develop and enhance business processes, conducting requirements gathering, recommending and developing/coding technical solutions and producing technical and business documentation in support of software solutions developed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity:

-Participate in the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance of information technology solutions for business processes.

-Collaborates with business units to deliver robust business process software solutions.

-Define detailed functional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements.

-Provide functional and technical documentation

-Serve as a Business Analyst for J.D. Edwards Enterprise One, and other supporting business applications

-Engages with development teams and participates in efforts to provide new and enhanced J. D. Edwards Enterprise One functionality.

-Work with the technical and functional teams for the delivery of solutions.

-Support Enterprise One modules and related applications while working with the end users and the internal team.

-Follow the software development lifecycle methodologies to develop solutions while working with the end users and IT teams

-Responsible and accountable for quality production support and service delivery to meet the agreed service levels

-Support companywide projects related to the J.D .Edwards applications, including but not limited to developing and maintaining reports and interfaces, project migrations and provide functional and technical support.

-Collaborate with functional and development teams and assist in the delivery of new and enhanced functionality, including end user training and change management.

EDUCATION, TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field is required. Must possess a minimum of 8+ years of JD Edwards Enterprise experience, and application design and implementation experience.

Specific Desired Skills:

-Candidate should possess excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

-Deliver strong JDE development designs and solutions thru the ability to transform user requirements to program specifications and to communicate effectively with developers and end users throughout the process.

-Effectively communicate throughout the organization from end-users through senior level management. Ability to present complex concepts clearly in easily understood terms.

-Experience in working with divisional units to develop, implement and streamline business processes.

-Responsible and accountable for quality production support and service delivery to global operations to meet the agreed service levels

-Collaborate with functional and development teams and assist in the delivery of new and enhanced functionality, including end user training and change management.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

-Expert level knowledge of JD Edwards's integration points such as BI Publisher, EDI, Scale Systems, and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).

-Identify and prepare business process documents for testing

-Work with testers on preparation of test scripts

-Strong knowledge transfer and end user mentoring skills.

-Experience with Oracle 11g/10g, Writing SQL queries.

-Nice to have C, VC++, C# and Web programming language experience.

-Cloud solutions a plus

REASONING ABILITY:

Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and concrete variables is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
