Desktop Support Technician I - A+

The Desktop Support Tech in this role will be working in a walk-up tech support counter environment. Must have A+ certification, great customer-facing skills, and the ability to diffuse frustrated end users. Ticketing is currently in Remedy but will be moving to ServiceNow.
 
The Top 2 required skills are 1. Corporate experience with both Apple and Windows and 2. Interpersonal skills.
 
The work schedule will be Mon-Fri, 8-5 – there will be no overtime or on-call for this position.
 
Overview:
  • Solve a broad range of day-to-day onsite technical issues on network infrastructure and internal desktop systems
  • Customize communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual
  • Determine the most cost-effective repair to minimize customer downtime
  • Prepare reports for analysis
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience providing support in a corporate environment
  • A+ certification required
  • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
  • Ability to transform technical IT language into terms everyone understands
  • Relatable with customers and impeccable with follow-through
  • Not intimidated by problems you’ve never seen before – confidence is key!
