On-Site Level II Deskside Support Technician – 1-Year Contract – Logan, Utah

This is your chance to work at a cutting-edge therapeutics company that is changing healthcare and enhancing patient care. Our client is looking for an On-Site Level II Deskside Support person who has networking experience and knowledge for this location. This role will support up to 500 end users from executives to lab technicians. The position will work within multiple buildings on campus.  
 
Overview:
  • Hardware break-fix on laptops and desktops
  • PC lifecycle activities focused on the shop floor and engineering users
  • Installation, Move, Add, Change (IMAC)
  • Post imaging PC setup support
  • Installation of local site applications and configuration of machines so they are ready to be deployed
  • Data transfers
  • Assist end users with data transfer activities during PC change activities
  • Client connectivity and configuration support
  • Network connectivity support for printers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Software support:
    • OS troubleshooting and reloading of core load images
    • Software support for company core image and additional approved software
    • Support for site applications and core manufacturing / engineering applications
    • Support for desktop configuration, software installs and removals, de-installs, driver updates, and virus remediation
  • Assist with the resolution of connectivity problems for end users
  • Assist with audio-visual equipment located in the offices, meeting rooms, and training facilities
  • Support for PC connectivity and configuration of audio-visual equipment, troubleshooting, and testing the equipment and configuration settings, as directed by the client or its designated service providers
  • Minor maintenance including a bulb replacement
  • Printer troubleshooting and resolution of such basic issues as, paper Jams, toner replacement, basic configuration issues
  • Assist the facilities team and designated service providers to provide printer maintenance
  • Assist the facilities team and external vendors to provide conference room maintenance, including PCs, phones, and audio-visual equipment
  • Assist with technology equipment used in manufacturing environments including, but not limited to: non-standard PCs, PCs connected to manufacturing equipment, thin Clients, legacy operating systems, barcode readers, desktops, label, barcode printers
  • Support Network Accessible Storage equipment for configuration or equipment replacement or repair as directed
  • Assist sites in preparing IT infrastructure for impending natural disasters; for example, back up data, shut down equipment per provided policies
  • Identify and rectify telephony service delivery issues, both configuration, and hardware related, engaging third-party maintenance providers and staff as reasonably required and approved
  • Physical server support:
    • Assist with installations, configurations, and maintenance activities in the server environment
    • Assist with server upgrades
    • Perform approved maintenance on user accounts
    • Assist with backup, recovery, and security procedures
    • Assist with the resolution of problems associated with server hardware and application software
    • Follow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and report application-related problems
    • Install new software releases, system upgrades, and patches
  • Network physical support and assistance
    • Perform approved network systems administration tasks that are both planned and emergency
    • Perform approved installations, configuration, and maintenance
    • Assist with the resolution of problems associated with network hardware and network performance
Other qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation as this role will support multiple Logan campus locations
  • Certifications not required but preferred
  • Must have previous customer service end user support experience 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
