Our client is looking for a Technical Lead with eComm experience in a Catalogue / Retail / Omni-channel environment. This is a critical role in the implementation of Demandware (Salesforce Commerce Cloud). The candidate must be able to work independently and manage a small team of consultants to understand business processes and design how Demandware will be leveraged and configured to meet the business needs. Previous hands-on experience in configuring the application is desired – must contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, business analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.

  • Own and aggressively drive the Demandware configuration and integrations.
  • Provide architectural assessments and tactics for implementations and integrations.
  • Work with business leaders and users understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
  • Fully understand application and how each business requirement benefits the users
  • Continually update knowledge through self-learning through various sites, blogs, and training
  • Educate colleagues on the system and its capabilities
  • Design, configure, test, document, and deploy high quality solutions
  • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
  • Coordinate with various teams and users for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Develop and support practices and capabilities that will sustain the implementation for the long term
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
  • Engage with vendors and consultants to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.

  • 7+ years of experience with retail/catalogue/ecommerce applications
  • Previous experience with Demandware (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) highly desired, acceptable eComm platforms include: SAP Hybris, Websphere Commerce, Oracle ATG Web Commerce, or someone with strong Catalogue / Retail / Omni-channel eComm experience on a custom built platform in .NET or Java
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage project plan, scope and project status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Desire to manage resources.
  • Ability to lead meetings and requirements gathering, prototyping, and configurations.
  • Enterprise level experience with JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, APIs, HTTP, networking concepts.
  • Deep understanding of underlying web technologies. (HTTP protocol, web servers, database servers, content delivery systems, web services, etc.)
  • Provide architectural assessments and tactics for implementations and integrations
  • Project management skills to ensure proposed functionality is implemented in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member or leader of cross functional teams.
  • Effective multi-tasking skills to address simultaneous priorities
