Description
Purpose and Importance of Position:
Works under the general direction of a Software Development Specialist or Solution Architect. Reviews Functional Requirements, Functional Design, and Technical Design documents and writes program code.
Essential Functions:
  • Acts as a Programmer and/or Unit Tester.
  • Works directly with SCRUM team (and/or Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts) and other IT staff.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop web and/or desktop applications.
  • Demonstrates ability to use SQL and develop ETL processes.
  • Interfaces directly with other software developers, project leaders and managers, and industry colleagues.
  • Collects and analyzes facts and information to weigh pros and cons of choices.
  • Considers impact of decisions on others and the business.
  • Adapts to new ideas, processes and technology.
  • Suggests ways to improve processes, communication and customer service.
  • Adept at solving problems and trying new things.
  • Protects confidentiality.
Required Skills:
  • Strong .NET development skills, including C#, WPF, WCF/SOAP/RESTful Web Services & Deployment, design & development skills.
  • Familiarity with Angular 2+ development (environment including Node.js, Typescript)
  • Experience with SQL Server/T-SQL - writing stored procedures, functions, views, synonyms, server and query performance tuning
  • Strong Object Oriented design and development skills.
  • Experienced in version control and deployment thru DEV/QA/Prod BI stacks following good industry practices in deploying and managing the MS Technology stack.
Experience:
  • 2-6 years of experience
  • Proficiency in a number of the following languages: C# and .Net, WPF, JavaScript.
  • SQL Server Database Development experience, including proficiency in both T-SQL and SSIS.
  • Working knowledge of system interface development.
  • Experience with all phases of the SDLC (Plan, Design, Develop, Test, and Support).
  • Understanding of Agile concepts.
Required Education:
  • Four-year college degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Additional equivalent years of experience in Information Technology can be substituted for degree
