As a visual designer focused on production for Google Assistant, you will partner with a multi-disciplinary design team to define, iterate, and evolve our core asset libraries for a handful of Google's core products which support over 1 billion daily active users. This role will work with program leads and senior designers to contribute solutions that account for the synthesis of our framework libraries, design language, and asset management system. In addition to participating in working sessions, reviews and crits, you will get to leverage some of the best senior designers at Google who will help you mature your craft, impact our users, and grow professionally during your time at Google.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow our pattern and component libraries by defining and designing our asset management ecosystem with libraries, sticker sheets, and documentation
  • Partner with peers and stakeholders across UX and Eng to bridge the gaps between product designers, production, UX Engineering, and product engineering teams
  • Think holistically about the visual style of Google products and be a driving force to unify its application across multiple surfaces and platforms
  • Be a contributor to a next-generation framework that is designing a new category of multi-modal experiences for voice and sight
  • Design system icons, product marks, and illustrations as various partner needs arise
  • Determine if current builds on the product side adhere to spec, file bugs where they do not, and track and communicate the delta
  • Assist our marketing and agency partners by providing both design assets for their production needs as well as quality assurance for their implementation
  • Collaborate with senior-level designers on projects and grow your craft by sharing your approach, participating in crits, and engaging in formal reviews
