Desktop Support Technician

Location: Wyomissing, Pennsylvania
Responsible for ensuring workstations/laptops meet and continue to meet compliance requirements. This includes managing security patches, third party patches, and asset tagging.
· Must have solid troubleshooting skills, knowledge and use of the command line and understanding how technology "works and/or fits together” at the highest levels to be able to effectively assist with troubleshooting
· Responsible to work with vendors as required to resolve issues, manage upgrades and/or troubleshoot
· Must be able to collaborate with other IT and Operational resources as needed
· Any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
Key Focus areas(but not limited to):
  • Windows OS, 7, 10
  • Office 20XX
  • Java Security and deployments, knowledge of Applets and jar files
  • Windows / product Updates
  • Ability to troubleshoot via remote console/access
  • Ability to work "outside of his/her comfort zone and outside of the box”
  • Remedy or like ticket information familiarity
  • SCCM knowledge a plus
  • GPO knowledge a plus
  • Mcafee knowledge a plus
