Reclaim Technician

Location: Culver City, California
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Responsible for receiving and checking all returned hardware assets back into stock
  • Identifying software applications that are installed and uninstalling to reclaim the licenses
  • Backing up user data from returned assets
  • Thoroughly inspecting, testing and cleaning all returned assets to ensure they are clean and fully functional for redeployment. Handling in-house repairs and maintenance where appropriate.
  • Identify and manage the cycle through of all asset items requiring repair or disposal (eWaste)
  • Monitor and manage various databases and queues related to reclaim activities
  • Maintaining overall organization of warehouse stock and supplies
  • Troubleshooting various basic PC (Windows and Macintosh) related issues either hardware or software
  • Answering help desk phone as backup support for Help Desk technicians.
Knowledge
  • 2-4 years' experience in Mac / Windows desktop
  • Back-up software applications such as: Snapshot and Carbon Copy Cloner
  • Basic computer imaging skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware and connectivity issues
  • Connecting to and creating shared folders in both Windows and Macintosh environments
  • Basic knowledge of Hewlett Packard LaserJet printers
  • Solid understanding of technology (for example USB 3.0 vs Thunderbolt)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of software, hardware, and peripherals
