Job Description:
We are looking for a Project Manager who will lead the efforts to identify, refine, and accurately articulate the business objectives and value proposition of crucial shared data services initiatives. This person will work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks, and constraints. Also, they will work with relevant technology partners such as QA/UAT and development teams to document business and functional requirements, including data
flows, business rules, and use cases using MS Visio and other MS Suite tools. The Project Manager will need to apply software development lifecycle control methodology and ensure smooth delivery of application releases and cascading impact on front-end user applications.

Day to Day Responsibilities: project plan, document dependencies and create overall release schedule to support system development in phased manner.

10% of time Create production and dress rehearsal implementation plans for the systematic deployment of the software releases
  • Create implementation plans
  • Identify resource dependencies
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for resource coverage for the weekend production releases
20% Manage the deployments of software releases and ensure proper post-deployment checkouts
  • Running the deployment plan via coordination with development and support teams
  • Send regular status updates to the stakeholder
  • Ensure proper coverage from resources especially in case of deployment issues
  • Collect sign off from all relevant functional teams post the deployment

5% Provide support for Post Implementation Review calls, actions and updates
  • Facilitating post-implementation review calls to go over any deployment or post deployment production issues
  • Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the development and the release cycle for next software release
20% Interface with application functional owners to understand their needs, document requirements and facilitate planning with the internal development team technology for the development of new features and deployment of the releases
  • Facilitating scoping sessions with various functional application teams, internal development team, BA and QA/UAT resources
  • Create a detailed release plan to account for various phases of SDLC
10% Assist with the identification of production risks and issues recorded during software release, and coordinate mitigation actions using IT Risk Management
  • Record release issues during various phases of SLDC
  • Create a mitigation plan for relevant risks such as rollback plans and track issues/risks using tracking management system for effective communication and subsequent action
15% Managing projects from their inception to delivery & maintenance through the full SDLC
  • Creating project initiation and scoping document
  • Ensure proper release management/SDLC controls such as proper UAT, release notes, etc are followed, plus IT change management process is followed
  • Report regular project status to the relevant stakeholder and escalate issues/risks in timely manner.
Must Haves:
  • 7+ years of Project Management Experience
  • 7+ years of Information Systems Experience
  • Experience with MS Project, Jira, Visio, and Microsoft Suites
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile
  • Experience facilitating the scoping discussions for identification of the various needs of the different application process and coordinate with development teams to help find out the solutions
  • Experience with leading creating and coordinating release scheduling plans.
  • Experience coordinating with various QA and UAT testing teams to make sure business and functional requirements are met
  • Experience manage the application releases planning and execution right from the inception, all the way through to the production, following specific SDLC methodology and using IT Risk Management practices to raise awareness around the risks/issues.
