PeopleSoft Tuning Specialist

Duties include but not limited to the following:

The consultants will be performing tasks including:

Assist with SQL tuning – provide tuning analysis and recommendations to remediate slow performing SQL statements in batch jobs, ODI extracts, online components and reports.
Configure and monitor the database environment –assist the State in monitoring the SFS database infrastructure and altering its configuration as necessary to meet changing operational demands of the SFS application.
Operational support – provide operational database support during non-business hours.
Technical advice – provide recommendations and implementation assistance to the State when implementing ETL jobs and analytical queries in support of data warehousing and business intelligence applications.
Capacity and performance management for SFS enterprise projects – provide analysis, recommendations and assistance for SFS enterprise projects to include additional functionality and bringing additional agencies onto the SFS.
Upgrade assistance – provide recommendations, feasibility analysis, planning and implementation assistance for an upgrade of core SFS applications including PeopleSoft, the Oracle database, Oracle Engineered Systems, and the IBM AIX operating system.

Requirement #3 Five years experience tuning applications accessing PeopleSoft data structures:
Requirement #4 Five years experience tuning applications within PeopleSoft Application Engine and SQR processes:
Requirement #5 Five years experience tuning SQL by changing Oracle cost based optimizer behavior:
Requirement #6 Five years experience tuning SQL by administering Oracle cost based optimizer statistics:
Requirement #7 Five years experience in monitoring PeopleSoft performance:
Requirement #8 Five year experience in detecting, analyzing and resolving PeopleSoft performance problems:
Requirement #9 Five years experience using and analyzing PeopleSoft traces:
Requirement #10 Five years experience identifying problem SQL, analyzing execution plans, and developing tuning options:
Requirement #11 Five years experience writing SQL for production PeopleSoft applications:
Requirement #12 Three years experience in PeopleSoft application development writing online PeopleCode, Application Engine or SQR programs:
Requirement #13 Two years experience reviewing PeopleSoft program code, SQR and SQLs for performance efficiency and developing performance optimization recommendations:
Requirement #14 Four years experience using PeopleSoft Integration Broker architecture, components, and message processing:
Requirement #15 Four years experience using and configuring PeopleSoft component processor:
