SCCM Patch Management Desktop Engineer
Parsippany, NJ
3- 6 months Right-2-Hire


Role Description:
**Light travel may be required to meet the needs of the business and/or training opportunities.**

The Engineer, Desktop & Image Management will be responsible for desktop engineering functions and will lead the patch management and patch deployment function for SCCM. This includes; overall patch management, patch and software deployment delivery, desktop procurement/setup/deployment and 3rd level support form Desktop Support. This person is also responsible for the delivery of services provided by partners (reporting on performance, metrics and escalating as required) in these areas. This includes support to: remote domestic offices and end users and remote international office and end users. Must be detail oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, Think outside the box and be solution and results oriented.

Essential Job Functions:
· Overall delivery of Desktop Engineering and patch management.
· Packaging, Image creation and maintenance
· Process adherence – measuring results, course correcting and building/executing process improvement strategies
· Reporting and analytics
· Escalation management
· Vendor Management

Additonal Info: The Engineer, Desktop & Image Management has a high level of autonomy, is a people leader, will work directly with vendors which will impact commercials, agreements and deliverables and will report out results to senior leadership teams.
Scope/Financial Responsibility
Value of position is based on the value of tracking PC related issues within the company. Impact on revenue is based on uptime of the equipment and end user productivity within the defined service levels. Expenses are limited to pre-approved travel and supplies.

Experience/Certificates/Education
· Microsoft Support certification– MCSA, MCSE, MCITP (asset)
· ITIL v3 Foundations (asset)
· 2+ years' experience or equivalent certification with SCCM (required)

· 5+ years' of experience within the Information Technology
· Proficient in Scripting languages (VBScipt, Powershell, Batch script)
· Proficient in packaging (Wise, AdminStudio, Tivoli)
· 2+ years' experience in project management (asset)
· 2+ years in hands on Technology Support
