Our Client, a major consulting firm in the Tampa, FL area is looking for a Level 3 Application Support Specialist.
  • The Level 3 Application Support team member will be responsible for configuring monitoring systems to detect failures and performance issues in the application and infrastructure.
  • You will be tasked with creating dashboards for IT operations and executive reporting needs using your experience and understanding of application, platform, and network technologies.
  • Strong experience in administering Solarwinds, Splunk, and AppDynamics or similar systems. Includes ability to configure monitors, reports, dashboards, etc.
  • Experience in writing PowerShell and/or Bash scripts to create custom Solarwinds monitors.
  • Possess the ability to quickly learn multiple platforms and application technologies of a portfolio of applications with broad knowledge of the business strategic priorities, in order to resolve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to analyze requirements and leverage tools and resources to create new solutions that may or may have not been done before.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of application technologies including .NET/ASP.NET/.NET Core, JavaScript/NodeJS
  • Working knowledge of server technologies including Database Systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo), IIS
  • Working knowledge of network systems and protocols including routers, load balancers, proxies, TCP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP
  • Experience in advanced troubleshooting from the application to the infrastructure level is a plus.
  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BS, BA) or 5 years IT experience.
