IT Project Manager

Project Manager will directly report to the Regional Resource Manager and have a matrix reporting line to one or more of the IT Project Group Managers (who manage a Portfolio of Projects and Programs and are based in Asia Pacific, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Latin America or North America).

The IT Project Manager - will be responsible for managing and executing Project/Program delivery for one of CTI's internal or external customers.

The objective of this role is to ensure that all assigned Projects/Programs are managed within budget, scope and timelines, and follow client standard processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their assigned Projects/Programs to deliver infrastructure technology by working with multiple technology streams. Client interaction, effective stakeholder management, reporting and escalating risks and issues to their IT Project Group Manager are also part of this role.

The role is governed by global project management standards following client's internal project management methodology and has standard tools and processes to follow, with support and oversight provided by the Project Office and helpdesk functions.
  • 7+ years of experience in successfully managing complex projects and programs during which a structured approach (methodology) was applied to project planning, estimating, monitoring and reporting through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through closure.
  • 6+ years of overall experience in IT infrastructure / data center 
  • 2+ years of experience in genuine program management during which s/he applied a structured approach (methodology) to the successful management, tracking, planning, monitoring and reporting of concurrent, multiple financial services projects spanning broad geographies and organizations. 
  • Experience managing programs with $7.5MM+ budget, with 3+ project managers and 4+ projects incorporated into the program. 
  • Experience defining and establishing a program governance structure. 
  • Experience in managing large globally distributed project teams who are not reporting directly and are associated with the PM for the purpose of the project only. 
  • Experience with enterprise program and project management tools and processes. 
  • Experience interfacing with Executive Management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead program work on a regional large scale level. 
  • Evidence quality leadership in motivating and inspiring people within area of responsibility. 
  • Experience project managing the rollout of the infrastructure components of new products/applications, Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures, Business strategic projects/programs, new technology. 
  • Experience managing vendor relationships 
  • Significant experience managing client expectations and negotiations 
  • Proven project financial and risk management experience 
  • Solid understanding and broad knowledge of technology infrastructure 
  • Understanding of Application development 
  • Experience working remotely or for a remote manager 
  • Experience working in a medium to large-scale global corporation 
  • Experience in Financial Services industry preferred.
