Our client, a utilites company in Cherry Hill, NJ has a contract position availabel for a Disaster Recovery Coordinator.

The Disaster Recovery (DR) Coordinator will be a primary liaison between business units and IT on disaster recovery program development and testing. The objective will be to enable American Water to answer the question "are we recoverable?” across the spectrum of business functions (i.e. "order to cash,” ”request to complete”).

As such, the DR Coordinator's initial key deliverables will be:
1) to guide development of an effective disaster recovery architecture; and
2) to deliver an effective initial disaster recovery test in accordance with project timelines.

A DRC candidate will have a broad range of Business Continuity combined with technology experience
The DRC must demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence directors and other staff to maintain an overall Resiliency Program
The candidate must have experience building and maintaining an IT Disaster Recovery Plan
Experience planning and managing the execution of Crisis Management simulations, Business Continuity tests and Infrastructure Disaster Recovery testing.
Experience working with IT teams to develop, maintain and test IT Disaster Recovery and fallback/failover processes.
Experience with crisis and/or incident management processes.
