Responsibilities:
  • Profile data for Data Quality assessment
  • Develop, propose, and contribute to implementation of data quality improvement processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis; present findings and proposed improvement solutions
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholders are involved in initiatives to obtain needed information, maintaining the highest level of data quality for successful implementation of projects
  • Contribute to establishing standards for data quality, usage, and definitions through tooling and scorecards
  • Elicit and document data requirements; aligning with business requirements
  • Collaborate in identifying system connectivity points with project teams
  • Elicit and document business, technical and operational metadata from a variety of source systems
  • Drive discussions and decisions with technical data teams to produce solutions that will impact database models, data architecture designs, etc. based on profiling and data assessment
  • Follow standard SDLC practices including exhaustive documentation
  • Participates on (and may lead) projects where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business process, system process, and industry standards.
  • Regularly mentors and reviews work of less experienced team members.
  • Initiates corrective action to stay on project schedules.
  • Analyze and evaluate the application data requirements to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of Data (Data Quality and Profiling) and related documentation.
  • Review the Data Model and implement quality and cleansing rules to prepare data for conversion from legacy applications to target application.
  • Generate Data Mapping documents.
  • Act as a liaison between the Business team and the technical team.
  • Conduct Requirement and Source System Analysis to validate assumptions made during Requirements definition about data conforming to certain business rules required for maintaining integrity of converted data from legacy source systems.
  • Leads and participates in the identification and resolution of data quality and performance related issues.
  • Provides guidance in the utilization of development techniques and tools to management and staff members promoting a high standard of execution.
  • Maintains business intelligence systems data dictionaries, schema documentation, and jobs inventory for the data integration practice.
  • Serves as technical mentor and reviewer as assigned - sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues and playing an active role in developing technical expertise in team members.
  • Other duties within the data integration practice as needed.
