Director of Network Solutions

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Network Solutions group.
  • Provide network engineering resources sufficient to meet planned and budgeted operational and field service requests.
  • Develop and document engineering standards and audit processes to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and prepare short- and long-term budgets, staffing requirements, operating plans, and capital plans necessary to support the organization's business plan.
  • Identify technical skills necessary to meet organizational needs. Ensure effective programs, seminars and workshops are identified in support of overall continuous improvement of assigned staff members.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available to guarantee successful installations and to support field services.
  • Responsible for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the processes and procedures of the Network Solutions group, ensuring metrics are met and providing related reporting.
  • Maintain vendor certifications and relations necessary to maintain partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with management and staff to deliver network solutions in alignment with the strategic vision of the company.
  • Support programs and oversee specific procedures for safety, including ergonomics and safe work practices.
  • Effectively manage, guide and coach team leaders and other assigned staff.
  • Perform identified tasks outlined in the Systems Engineering Security Policy
  • Meet and comply with all company policies, guidelines, and requirements regarding security compliance.
  • Perform other tasks in response to daily business needs and as directed.

Minimum formal education, experience and training:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or related discipline required.
  • 5+ years in a management role, focusing on network services and support delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to triage and prioritize competing needs.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) are essential.

Preferred formal education, experience and training:
Prior experience in a technology related or other similar industry.

Other knowledge and skills:
  • Ability to lead, coach and inspire technically oriented professional individuals.
  • Demonstrated strategic management skills.
