Senior Business Analyst, Pharma

A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Senior Business Analyst with Oracle Clinical and Thesaurus Management System (TMS) experience to join our consulting practice in Groton, CT (with travel as needed in the northeast).

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Business Analyst to help grow our Business Analysis Practice in North America. In this role, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage requirements and business analysis artifacts throughout the solution development lifecycle.

The preferred candidate will have a solid work history of delivering superior business analysis and consulting services in life science and/or other industries. The candidate should be capable of seeing ideas from concept through to implementation and applying a formal business analysis methodology based on industry best practices to accomplish the task. The position requires an individual with exceptional communications skills (verbal and written), superior facilitation and presentation skills, and strong analytical capabilities. An understanding of the IIBA's Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge and CCBA or CBAP certification is preferred.

In this role the Senior Business Analyst will be required to:
  • Uncover the goals, needs, and opportunities for improvement
  • Discover, document and analyze business processes at varying levels of detail
  • Elicit requirements from a diverse set of business and technical stakeholders
  • Analyze and document requirements using graphic and text based techniques (activity diagrams, use cases, user stories, etc...) to create requirements deliverables
  • Manage, communicate, and represent requirements throughout the life of a project
  • Evaluate a solutions ability to meet the needs of the business and deliver value.
  • Analyze the impact of technical and non-technical changes across an enterprise
  • Collaborate with a business analysts working across various projects to ensure requirements quality and avoid missed requirements
  • Mentor and manage junior business analysts
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience that includes elicitation, analysis, management, and communication of business and solution requirements
  • 3+ years of experience where you were responsible for optimizing stakeholder participation, buy-in, support and agreement while minimizing redundancy
  • 3+ years of life science experience with one or more of the following
  • Major consulting firm with a life science industry focus.
  • Mid to large life science company
  • 2+ years of experience managing, leading, or mentoring junior business analysts
  • 3-5 years of clinical development experience is required
