Description
The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) is seeking a Business Analyst with experience analyzing dining operations and financial reporting for the Georgia Correctional Industries (GCI) division. GCI is responsible for managing the menus and food delivery for over 60 facilities throughout the state. Additionally, GCI manages several staff dining halls in facilities and the GDC campus. The successful candidate will analyze current dining operations and menu planning and inventory tracking software solutions. The goal will be to identify and assist in the development of recommendations for a software solution that will efficiently track and provide management reporting to support effective dining management decisions. Additionally the software may provide the accounting and financial reporting for the dining operations.
Position Requirements:
Strong analytical skills and ability to document process flows and information requirements related to dining operations including menu planning, inventory tracking, food delivery tracking and dining room sales.Dining operations analysis and data collection requirements will, at a minimum, include menu planning, menu costing and sales analysis, inventory management, tracking catering events and invoicing and point of sale transaction processing.Assist in the review and analysis of available software programs supporting dining management to develop recommendations for software purchases.
Organize and lead meetings, document process flows and develop presentations and reports.
Document the data elements needed and accounting and recordkeeping requirements to meet FASB and GASB standards.
Food distribution analysis and data collection requirements will, at a minimum, include menu planning and nutritional analysis, allergen and food safety information, food costing, inventory management, order fulfillment and delivery scheduling.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business or other related area.
Minimum of three years' experience reviewing and documenting business process and identifying data elements required for proper financial and management control.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience if facilitating process review work teams.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve project goals within established timeframes.
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and financial software packages as needed.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills.
Ability to function independently and effectively.
