The position is responsible for leading development teams and managing cross-functional activities for a portfolio of projects.

• Work on complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of intangible factors. Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria. Demonstrate success in technical proficiency, collaboration with others and independent thought.
• Lead and build multi-disciplinary project teams, comprising representatives from relevant functions.
• Compile and maintain up to date project plans, ensuring all development activities are included.
• Ensure that key development milestones in agreement with customer are achieved and that the program is progressed in a timely manner.
• Track progress of all activities against plan and notify the relevant personnel of potential delays and/or issues.
• Communicate any changes in the development program with the customer and internal team members and ensure that the changes are fully documented.
• Be the primary point of contact for the customer and ensure that good communications are maintained.
• Chair internal and Joint Project Team meetings, provide agendas, issue minutes with follow-up actions identified.
• Utilize approved Project Management Templates.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the position.
• Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.

Job Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pharmacy/Engineering or relevant discipline
• PMP certification a plus
• Preferred 3 - 5 years relevant experience to include pharmaceutical development and line management.
• Experience managing client-facing projects preferred.
• Demonstrated intermediate mathematical ability.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database software etc.) is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must possess appropriate communication skills allowing direct interaction with outside suppliers, STW internal Managers and Sr. Management.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

• Review reports, etc. for accuracy and logic.
• Meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.
• Must be able to perform risk assessments in a timely manner and act accordingly. Successful candidate will possess strong computer and troubleshooting skills as well as solid reading, writing, math and communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate, both written and verbal form, in an effective manner.

• Should be familiar with cGMP and safe work practices.
