The general ledger analyst is responsible for the review and processing of journal entries to the general ledger, as well as the reconciliation and financial results of the Americas region entities. This involves working closely with various departments such as Financial Planning, Corporate Consolidations, Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Receivables, and Payables, to ensure proper accounting of subledger activities and related adjustments.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Processing of manual journal entry requests
- Monthly close cycle and supplemental reporting
- Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
- Various special projects and ad hoc responsibilities including support for internal/external auditors

Four year degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
Systems aptitude is a requirement for this position. Ideal experience would include prior work experience within a general ledger team, working knowledge of Oracle GL and subledger applications, proficiency in using Business Objects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced Excel skills would be ideal) and Microsoft Word.
Additional skills and attributes for this position are as follows: Strong analytical and problem solving skills, detail-oriented, quick learner and self-directed, results-oriented, organized, works well within a team, and strong oral and written communications.
Oracle GL experience needs to be a requirement (ideally R12). After that, Excel expertise and balance sheet account reconciliation experience are most important.
