FCA Performance Institute – Learning Analytics and Reporting Specialist
The Learning Analytics and Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the Service and Learning team by creating measure of learning effectiveness, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement. This position will support all learning interventions and events across all areas of FCA PI. The primary focus will be to ensure baseline metrics are captured across all operational teams, gain alignment on performance thresholds and finally measure and track performance both pre-and post any learning event. The analyst designs and documents weekly and monthly reports and helps identify trends in historical reports and assess critical outcomes. Additionally, this role would provide ad-hoc reports and/or dashboards for self-service to reduce redundant requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, and the presentation of data to "see beyond the numbers” and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions for the FCA PI Leadership Team
  • Prepare and build reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing master data and trends
  • Leverage competitive benchmarking to cultivate the process of gathering, assembling, and maintaining learning analytics
  • Monitor the integrity and validity of the data reported and able to provide details about data and analyses for FCA PI and Executive Leadership
  • Provide insights and analysis on key metrics of performance for in class training, on the job training and for any ongoing learning activity
  • Communicate with external and internal stakeholders to deliver standardized reports
  • Provide summary documentation on the acquired results of the analysis
  • Works with internal stakeholders to automate or streamline data collection processes
  • Partner with the Service and Learning teams to identify and model Key Performance Indicators for various stakeholders
Specific Knowledge and Skills of the Learning Analytics and Reporting Specialist:
  • Oversees execution of learning data and analytic services and strategies with respect to sponsoring of initiatives, delivery of results, accountability and governance frameworks
  • Identifies, interprets, and shares insights collected from learning measurement of efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes with appropriate levels of leadership in order to positively impact planning and execution strategies
  • Directly supports Executive Leadership by providing an expert level of learning data and analytics business acumen and monitoring and communicating internal/external trends
  • Plans for current and future data and analytics needs of enterprise learning
  • Demonstrates and applies knowledge of data literacy, research, data visualization, and consulting within own responsibilities and while mentoring others
  • Leads and provides expertise for department and division scorecards, data and analytics, planning and budget
Metrics analysis and reporting:
  • Partner with program leads to identify metrics to track for key programs/classes
  • Create and establish appropriate data collection plans during the early stages of the instructional design process
  • Oversee data collection process for appropriate learning projects and programs
  • Work with all available FCA data sources to create standardized learning-based reporting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Qlikview/Qliksense, Business Objects, etc.
  • Experience in building reporting tables
  • Produce meaningful analysis and reporting per set schedules and review results with leadership
  • Make preliminary recommendations for enhancements of programs/classes
Position Requirements:
  • BA/BS and/or experience in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data (Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Economics, Statistics), or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Learning or Training organization in an analytics role
  • Strong analytical and systems skills
  • Demonstrated experience handling large data sets
  • Exceptional project management skills (detail oriented)
  • Professional, self-starter, flexible and enthusiastic
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Advanced degree in data and measurement-related disciplines preferred
