Short Description:
The agency needs an experienced Inserter Operator with experience independently operating either a 6-pocket Client Inserter or a 6-Pocket Bell and Howell Inserter for a position within their mail operations lettershop center.

Complete Description:

***IMPORTANT: While training, hours will be M-F - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This will last 1 to 3 months as needed to get up to speed. After the candidate is trained, the permanent hours will be M-F, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. ***

The candidate will primarily work in the mail operations lettershop center. It will be critical that the candidate possess a strong attention to detail for this position.

The candidate will be independently operating a 6 pocket Client Inserter and a 6 pocket Bell and Howell Inserter. Submitted candidates need to have experience operating at least one, if not both, of these specific types of Inserters.

The candidate will be required to setup the Inserter and associated equipment for each pre-loaded mailing

The candidate will be required to setup the Inserter's sheet feed deck to accommodate the different paper sizes, folders, envelope hoppers, insert pockets and postage meters.

The candidate will be required to set up the Inserter's camera to read integrity markings and the output camera to read and verify addresses.

The candidate will be required to troubleshoot the Inserter equipment to make other setups and adjustments as needed for the machine to operate properly.

The candidate will be required to pull the envelopes, necessary material and equipment (mail trays, US Government Client APC's) required for each mailing. There are over 20 plus different envelopes the candidate will be working with.

The candidate will need to perform quality control as mailings are running to ensure the product meets US Government Client requirements.

The candidate will be required to maintain daily logs of all mail that is processed for each day.

The candidate should have an understanding of the postal presort discount system with the United States Postal Service.

The candidate will be required to lift cases of envelopes, cartons of paper and other mailing material weighing up to 50 pounds. The candidate will also be required to move mail cages when it's full of filled mail trays.

No mail pickup or delivery is required for this position.

Description
Question 1 The Contractor must report any disciplinary action, misdemeanor or felony convictions to the State for any temporary IT staff provided. Do you agree to this requirement?
