Responsibilities: Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Web Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. This position is part of the Northrop Grumman's ETS Contract with the United States Postal Service, bringing top of the line professional technologists to their teams. Candidate understands, develops, implements, and maintains Web based software solutions. Candidate must follow US Government Client predefined development standards and procedures. Candidate must satisfy requirements, meet agreed-to completion date(s), and perform tests for products developed. Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: o Full life cycle development of web based and other software applications and experience with objected-oriented programming methodologies and techniques. o Analyze and resolve problems associated with application systems and look for possible improvements o Estimate business requirements, coordinate application systems stakeholders on all phases of the project, oversees testing and develop fixes as needed. o Mentor team members in object-oriented development. o Communicating with project manager and development team members in various forms, such as Excel sheets, Word documents, etc. o Responsible for estimating effort based on requirements and adhering to estimates and timelines. o Communicating with team lead and team members on the details of the proposed design and progress on the work. o Responsible for following project management and lifecycle development processes, procedures, and standards to meet extremely high quality assurance goals. o Responsible for generating unit tests, test data and test scripts. o Experience with code versioning and change management concepts. o Ability to complete tasks and projects within deadlines. Minimum 5+ years of experience working in web application software development using Java and J2EE. Good team working skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proficient in developing web applications using J2EE/Spring/Hibernate/Struts 2 (WebSphere/Tomcat), C#/ASP.NET, PHP and/or Python.
