Question 1: Is candidate a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance? MUST

Question 4: Have 10 years' experience as a water treatment specialist? MUST SHOW
Question 5: Have a Grade II Water Treatment Certificate; AND Grade III Water Distribution Certificate as determined by State Water Resources Control Board for a classified T2/D3 water system? MUST SHOW
Question 6: Have considerable knowledge of equipment operation, techniques, and methods used in water maintenance, repair and installation of related facilities and appurtenances; proper methods of collecting and preserving domestic water samples? MUST
Question 7: Have considerable knowledge of mathematical principles as applied to water systems; record keeping, preparing budgets, budgeting, and purchasing procedures; supervision and training techniques; pertinent laws, codes, safety orders and safe work practices; computer applications, including e-mail, word processing/spreadsheet/database software, web-based applications, SCADA system and other related programs? MUST

Responsibilities: Operates and monitors, under general direction, a variety of water supply and treatment equipment such as: Groundwater wells, Pumping systems, Chemical feeders, Measuring and control systems, and Filtration and exchange units. Performs maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. Conducts water level measurements and interprets data. Loads and unloads chemicals. Collects samples for analytical purposes. Performs basic and intermediate laboratory analytical techniques on water samples. Performs calculations related to dosing, flow rates, and other weights and measures. Complies with all safety standards and practices as they pertain to equipment, facility operations and chemical handling. Performs other duties as assigned. May perform shift operator duties as defined by the SWRCB. Superior Detail Orientation skills. Strong understanding of Water Board requirements and compliance.
