Brief Job Description: Seasoned desktop / Service Desk technician with VERY strong customer service and communication skills. This position will be involved in the following activities:
1. Primary purpose will be Service Desk support in a primarly Windows 7 and Office 2013 environment. We have a mix of virtual desktops (85%) and physical desktops (15%), working in a Windows network environment. We support all operational aspects of end user technology (including applications), as well as several infrastructure components.
2. Desktop imaging and deployment: end to end, including working directly with end-users to migrate settings, install custom applications and ensure desktop is fully functional.
3. Replacement of approximately 200 end-of-life VoIP phones, including initial phone configuration, installation, testing.
Qualifications and experience REQUIRED: Required: experience building out (imaging) and deploying desktops end-to-end, experience working in a Service Desk environment to address and resolve end user software and hardware issues. Experience working with Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2013 and Windows networking in a complex, fast-paced multi-user environment.
Must possess very strong customer service, communication and writing skills. Must be responsible, organized and able to self-direct under with minimal guidance. Must be proficient with following written instructions (and completing check-lists, updating electronic records, work order tickets, etc.).
