Candidate Capability Requirements/Experience
The candidate/s should meet the following requirements:
Minimum qualifications include 6 years of relevant experience, on enterprise data storage systems, a bachelor's degree in the related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Candidates must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by management.

Cisco MDS 9000 Multilayer SAN Switches or equivalent
Cisco Fabric Manager & Device Manager
Cisco NX-OS Software
Data Center Network/Fabric Manager DCNM/DCFM
SAN Zones, ISLs,
SAN Performance and Capacity Tools, vRealize, M&R, NetApp InSight SRM
SAN and NAS storage: Fiber Channel SANs, FCoEs, FCIP, Block and File Storage (CIFS, NFS and Mixed protocols) Implementations and support.
SAN and NAS storage - Implementation and provisioning
EMC Storage Management Tools- Performance and Capacity
EMC Unified VNX series and / or VMAX, VPLEX, Xtreme IO, Unity Series
Flash Storage, FAST VP, Cloud integrated storage devices
Storage, systems or backup administration for large environment enterprise infrastructure systems.
NetApp FAS, All Flash storage, Data ONTAP, Cloud Connectors

The Mid-Level Systems Engineer will work directly with the Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Enterprise Data Storage & Protection (EDSP) Branch and will be performing the following duties:
Configuration, allocation, and management of the storage infrastructure
Integration and operations for complex systems in an enterprise data center environment
Enterprise-level applications, backup and disaster recovery support
Enterprise data migration and data replication
Advanced troubleshooting, trending analyses, capacity planning and technical support
Creating and/or providing inputs towards SAN/NAS storage system documentation and status reports including but not limited to After Action Reports, Standard Operating Procedures, System Baseline Change Requests and Configuration Management Plans.
Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with senior staff, information systems professionals and the non-technical user community
Incumbent will also be able to provide assistance in planning, designing, and evaluating hardware and software recommendations to enhance and improve the Enterprise Data Storage Systems as a whole.
Position may require the ability to work shifts to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
