GENERAL FUNCTION: Provides exceptional service and support to all EyeMed Providers/Locations through execution of provider/location database requests within established performance metrics.

• Receives, researches, and processes provider/location requests related to additions, changes and terminations and ensures all requests are logged in appropriate database for performance measurement. Changes could consist of: address changes, payment changes, doctor transfers, plan participation changes, business ownership
• Evaluates, researches, and resolves complex provider data maintenance requests and issues. Understands the systems, business process and provider impact of alternative set-ups
• Assist management with database / data integrity issue research and recommends resolutions. Identifies trends related to data structure/set up and reports trends with proposed solutions to management
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes to ensure efficient turnaround of issues and meets and exceeds established deadlines and performance standards
• Responds to telephone calls, emails, and written requests from providers/locations as well as internal EyeMed departments related to provider/location set up in system
• Ensure efficient, accurate and timely responses to provider requests related to participation in the EyeMed panel
• Distribute provider/location contracts and follow up to ensure all appropriate contracts are executed prior to provider/location participation on a panel
• Assists in ensuring all appropriate documentation is maintained in document management application
• Meet Performance and Quality metrics
• Implement / participate in other Provider Relations team projects as requested

• High School Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service and/or data analysis experience

• Self-motivator
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Developed problem solving skills & decision-making capabilities
• Manage time and multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to handle escalated provider issues, including direct provider calls.
• Developed oral/written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Additional Job Details: BACKFILL REQUEST Specific Skills Support Role/Data Entry JOB TITLE: Provider Relations Data Specialist DEPARTMENT: EyeMed Vision Care **GSA and OIG screenings are required prior to start date** START DATE: ASAP END DATE: 12/31/18 Required: Resume, Pre-screening questionnaire, Excel and Data Entry Alphanumeric Assessment 8,000 KSPH (Normal User). *EYEMED ONLY: Since your contractor will be working in the EyeMed department, the OIG/GSA scan is an additional requirement for EyeMed positions. It should be conducted prior to placement and once a month thereafter. The results should be emailed to by the 5th of each month and kept in your file for audit purposes. ---- MANAGER INSIGHT: "For this particular role, we are looking for people with previous data entry experience, people with strong computer skills who are comfortable working within multiple windows at once and those who are quick toggling between multiple windows. I know a lot of people don't put this on a resume, but the last few associates who have been successful in this role have been video game players. I think because they are comfortable multitasking and working independently. This is a support role/data entry. No experience with Provider Relations necessary.
