Mobile Application Technical Consultant Purpose and Description: The Mobile Application Technical Consultant position is a new contract position in the Mobility Center of Excellence (MCoE) within Healthcare IT. The MCoE is a centralized mobile application development and solution delivery organization, providing enterprise shared services across KP to organizations such as national functions, regions, PMO, medical groups and others for the purpose of empowering KP's business strategy and needs through the nimble, world class development, delivery and support of mobile application solutions at scale. The Mobile Application Technical Consultant will work to improve the business engagement capabilities of the Mobility Center of Excellence (MCoE). The successful candidate will work with business, clinical and technical leaders to develop and certify mobile apps that benefit the internal Healthcare audience. The Healthcare Mobility Center of Excellence portfolio includes mobile apps developed on multiple platforms with a high priority on iOS and Android to be used by Healthcare members, caregivers, and our internal work force. Responsibilities: Support the business engagement process for the MCoE. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating the sponsor entitys existing processes, application architecture, security requirements, equipment configurations, and transport protocols, and providing detailed documentation for a custom solution that satisfies the customer's business and technical requirements. Work closely with leadership and the design, project management, and development teams to create standards and best practice documentation Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of application delivery and business engagement Learn the MCoE mobile application certification process and partner with Engagement Managers and Certification Leads to assist in conducting, documenting, and reporting on certifications; subject matter expertise will focus on mobile application native code design and service calls Support and coach technical teams in partner organizations throughout Healthcare Experience Level: 5-10 Years. Qualifications: Minimum 5-10 years of IT solution delivery experience within a consulting organization or software development team including experience as a project technical team lead or technical project manager Experience in technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, and/or other customer facing role consulting on and delivering technical products or services Experience in Internet technologies, standards and protocols, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design Experience in mobile technologies, standards and protocols, including iOS, Android, WinMo. Mobile app power users preferred Experience working with Scrum and Agile methodologies. CSM preferred Desired Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience with enterprise mobile application development/certification projects. Security background a plus. History of successful software development in a large corporation, particularly health care or other highly regulated industry Experience in one or more web development languages, methodologies, and / or architectures Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience collaborating on geo-diverse teams High level of comfort with explicitly taking accountability and holding appropriate parties accountable Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a demanding business and IT environment Adept at issue resolution and management Education Requirement: Minimum Requirement is a Bachelor's degree Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities Produce deliverables based on evaluating the quality of native mobile application source code Define and document code and service call design best practices and standards based on current industry thought leaders and specific KP business and regulatory requirements Key contributor to mobile application certification projects with target SLOs Develop and present trainings and lead discussions with KP's internal development teams Stakeholder management and communications Top 3 - 5 Required Skills Scrum/Agile development approach Mobile phone/tablet OS Enterprise Infrastructure/Architecture/Security Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word; Visio; IBM Cognos; SharePoint; MS Project, Clarify, Daptiv or other PPM system Desired skills Knowledge of Healthcare regulatory standards Experience with vendor management for projects utilizing staff augmentation for part or all of the development work Experience with mobile development projects Soft Skills Ability to facilitate and successfully manage a wide variety of stakeholder types and personalities Self-directed professional Good sense of humor; doesn't take self too seriously; comfortable with ambiguity, variety, and shifting priorities Able to provide productive feedback to ensure quality without affecting morale
