Responsibilities: Northrop Grumman is seeking a Jr. Mainframe (Z/OS) SAP and DB2 Systems Programmer to implement and assist with the installation, customization and maintenance of DB2, QMF, Control products, z/OS installation, mainframe to midrange; the related software products, and related tools. This position will be required to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions must be imaginative, thorough, practical and consistent with organization objectives. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities located in Eagan, MN HOURS: 5/40 workweek
Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen/Perm Res/Green Card Holder (NO EAD HOLDER) with the ability to obtain Position Of Public Trust Clearance; AND worked in the USA for the last 7 years and verifiable. And included ALL date (months and years) AND location (city and state); AND accounted for ALL employment gap (must include location if unemployed). Please confirm ALL resources have been in the US for at least 5 years and have not been out of the country for more than 6 months or more (total) in the last 5 years. Associates degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience, additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Minimum 3 years IBM z/OS experience. Candidates must have a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards related to z/OS System software installation and management. Demonstrate the skill and ability to independently perform system software installation and maintenance; software failure diagnosis and repair. Past experience or knowledge of software installation, configuration and support including: DB2 V9 and/or V10 and QMF V10, Compuware File-Aid for DB2 products, and Mainview for DB2 configuration. Experience and knowledge of System Programmer (SMP/E) skills. Preferred Qualifications: Complete suite of BMC DB2 Administration and Performance tools (Catalog Manager for DB2, SQL Explorer, etc.). Rocket Shadow Server. Certificate for DB2 V10 System Administration. DB2 Database Administration experience. SQL coding and tuning skills. REXX or CLIST coding, Dialog Manager Services.
