  Responsibilities: Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Control Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Merrifield VA. This is an onsite position with no telework possibilities. Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to: o Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements. o Troubleshoot issues with hardware and processes. o Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions. o Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld. Position is based in Merrifield, VA and does not provide relocation assistance. HOURS: 5/40 workweek
 
  Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen/Perm Res/Green Card Holder (NO EAD HOLDER) with the ability to obtain Position Of Public Trust Clearance; AND worked in the USA for the last 7 years and verifiable. Please confirm ALL resources have been in the US for at least 5 years and have not been out of the country for more than 6 months or more (total) in the last 5 years. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science or like field, and 9 years of relevant experience. OR a Master's degree and 6 years of experience. Minimum of 6 years of Automation and/or Controls Engineering experience. Experience with Rockwell Automation software packages – including RSLogix 5000 and RSView. Ability to read, interpret and modify PLC ladder logic. Experience programming in HMI/GDU. Demonstrated strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Material Handling industry (preferably in parcel sortation). Prior experience developing and implementing machine graphics and human machine interfaces.
