BUSINESS ANALYST - Bachelors Degree - 3 - 5 years experience - No Driving Required.
This position involves providing analysis on data & research regarding the Nissan Brand, its products, as well as its customers and competition. It is designed to support the Nissan Business Unit in terms of providing detailed, value added analysis with clear impact on the brand's health and value. In addition, the analysis should include actionable recommendations to management that focus on improving the brand and business. Acting as project lead will also be an important component of this position as data sourcing will need to be coordinated and managed with internal & external partners.
Analyze data and create stories that answer the following types of questions:
What does the data say? What are the key learnings / takeaways?
What are the key trends?
What are we missing? Where is the data missing?
What does this mean for the business?
Think beyond the initial request (i.e. 'what other data could help provide value added to the Business?')
Work with incomplete data to provide rationale hypothesis to answer business requests
Familiarity with IHSMarkit / Polk Loyalty, conquest/defection, and migration analysis is a plus
Ability to build and present reports and analysis:
Ability to confidently present analysis & reports to all levels within the organization
Provide regular summary of studies and analysis which cover automotive brands, their respective models, and customers
Data analysis and compilation of reports for presentation to management
Ability to work with internal, cross-functional, and external teams
Lead internal teams, as well as external research agencies, for successful project completion
Lead meetings with internal functional teams and external agencies
Supporting role in selecting research vendors / agencies
Execute projects according to required timelines/budget, and work well under pressure
Provide weekly status reports to Market Intelligence Senior Managers
Lead ad-hoc market research projects i.e. define objectives, milestones, scope, etc.
Support additional activities such as one-off requests from Product Planning and Marketing as well as research requests from Market Intelligence department in Japan
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge in marketing principles and general business management. Organization, communication and attention to detail will be key in management of both projects and external vendors
Three or more years of directly related professional level Marketing or Product Research experience. Experience managing vendors a plus. Some level of experience with consumer research (i.e. Focus Groups, Clinics) is a plus.
Bachelor's degree, 3-5yrs of directly related professional level experience. Bachelor's degree in a related marketing discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.
Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Strong analytical skills and the ability to tell a clear story based on data analysis
