US Citizen Mandatory

Job Duties
This position is responsible for coordinating the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure. The SA participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The SA also works closely with Physical Security Branch Manager throughout the project life cycle. They are responsible to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of all software programming for the Access Controls in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational support of localized and enterprise system for access control and intrusion detection, to include custom programming based on system alert notifications, access control, servers, panels, readers and locking devices.
  • Ensures firmware/security patches are installed, updated, upgraded and resolved from any software related problems.
  • Ensures the main and back-up servers are running the Access Control System.
  • Creates, modifies, and deletes system end users accounts and conducts password maintenance as directed by the Customer.
  • Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions/other operational problems, and coordinates with outside vender/supplier intervention as necessary.
  • Interacts with Information Technology to determine database flow/issues.
  • Acquires, documents, and maintains IP Addresses and all permissions necessary to operate existing and newly installed Access Control Systems within the respective domains nationwide.
  • Ensures 24/7 on-call technical support to nationwide area access managers regarding system specific operational/applications issues is available.
  • Ensures 24/7 on call coverage is coordinated to facilitate all repairs necessary on Access Control System nationwide.
  • Serves as technical support contact via within EOIR Office of Security and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Collects and maintains full network diagram, and maintain as built designs per current site, as well as for future expansion sites.
  • Provides direct technical application support to system end users.
  • Conducts regular system tests to ensure system data integrity and accuracy
  • Maintains open line of communication with field operators, including surveys to determine needs and/or continual improvements in relation to the network and procedures.
  • Works in conjunction with Headquarters security staff, Regional Security Specialists, and Court Administrators to ensure daily functionality.
  • Provides reports to the Physical Security Supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as needed in support of the Office of Security.

  • Associates Degree or High school diploma
  • Minimum Certification: Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) must be obtained with 1 year of EOD
  • Two or more years of experience in Lenel Access Control programming
  • Operating System expertise including Active Directory, SQL, DNS, DHCP, and
TCP/IP and commands
  • Two or more years of experience in network configurations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Project, Outlook and the Internet
