Audi of America is embarking on an effort with Audi AG and Volkswagen Group to re-architect our connected vehicle and ecommerce infrastructure in order to leverage global capabilities and work flows, while also allowing for market specific customizations. This new architecture and infrastructure is an essential foundation of Audi's digital business strategy. A key component of Audi's digital business strategy is to create a common integrated customer experience across all key touch points for all digital products for all vehicles. The new architecture will also allow AoA greater flexibility and freedom to create customer centric digital products and services, lower operating costs, and improve sourcing flexibility with MNO Carriers.
The Connected Vehicle Senior Specialist (i.e. Audi connect Product Owner) will manage all aspects of re-architecting the Audi connect product, delivering all of today's features and functions for all user types within the new environments (aka Gen 3). You will work collaboratively with Audi of America, Audi AG, MNO teams and other vendors to deliver the desired solution. You will be responsible for documenting and defining user stories, work flows, and requirements for all of the user end points (customer, dealer, customer service, technical support, and product management) and communicating these requirements to the various project teams to achieve Audi's digital business objectives.

Key Outcomes:
  • Offer Audi connect PRIME and PLUS subscriptions to the customer via the myAudi app using the global Audi ecommerce (ACP) and payment (AudiPay) platforms
  • The Audi connect PRIME and PLUS subscriptions are telecom carrier agnostic. All transactions with a carrier are done through the Audi Automotive Connectivity Services Platform (ACSP)
  • Migrate Audi connect PRIME and PLUS subscriptions for existing vehicles (aka Gen 2) to myAudi app using the ACP and AudiPay platforms

We need a strong product owner who is comfortable driving products through the entire lifecycle and working with and leading developers, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver the product on time in Q1 2020.

Main responsibility
  • Represent Audi of America's Connected Vehicle vision and digital business model with all teams at all times
  • Define product vision based on understanding of customer needs and business objectives
    • There are 5 user types: Audi Vehicle Owner (customer), Audi dealership, Audi customer service, Audi technical support, Fleet and Audi management
  • Define end-to-end customer experience, write user stories, drive requirements, and manage roadmaps and backlogs for each of the 5 user types.
    • Each user type has different functional requirements which need to be integrated into each user type's existing user interface/platform.
  • Work with each engineering/development teams (AoA, Audi AG, and 3rd party vendors) to develop product backlog, define priorities to delivered required product
  • Drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects and scope, and work with key stakeholders to identify and eliminate any roadblocks that impede development and launch
  • Lead development of key product documentation including business cases, business requirements, legal requirements, technical requirements, marketing requirements and support requirements
  • Provide regular project reporting to key stakeholders at both AoA and Audi AG

Operations & Service Integration Responsibilities - 25%
  • Responsible for seamless integration of Bosch as the eCall provider in the U.S. including:
    • Responsible for managing the transition to a dual eCall/SVL Provider with best practices development for ongoing support.
  • Manage the Satellite Radio Business: B2B process/invoicing; Customer/Corporate/Dealer Support;
  • Oversee the Audi connect CRM program including deployment schedule, file transfers, and performance reporting with monthly report outs.
  • Program management of the A3 e-tron program including Invoice/Billing support, CR management, Operational Excellence with Tier 1,2,3 support
  • Management of the Audi connect top 5 KPI's
  • Responsible for the rollout of the Employee 12 month CV plans
  • Responsible for identifying, authoring, distributing Dealer communications for Audi connect
  • Management of Audi connect Information Hub including content & delivery

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years as a product owner
  • 5+ years digital online or mobile experience
  • Experience implementing smart connected products
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications/Mobile Network Operators
  • Strong writing skills with experience writing Agile user stories and business requirements documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to leadership and tailoring to multiple audiences
  • Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems quickly, ability to assess opportunities with hard data
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Entrepreneurial, startup, or corporate innovation experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • At least 3 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • Familiarity and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for product user stories and agile development.
