Responsible for interface control during development activities and for the integration and test planning necessary to verify that system requirements have been realized at all levels of development. Other duties include: a) Perform engineering assessment of systems or subsystems using methodologies and techniques appropriate to the systems engineering discipline, including risk management, requirements management, and reliability analysis; b) Provide expert advice and support during the entire life cycle from the specification and analysis of requirements, through the design of the software, procurement, and integration and test; c) Identify and solve technical problems during all phases. Develop technical reports and documentation.

Candidate must have an understanding of Systems Engineering principles and traditional product development lifecycles. Possess project leadership skills and work independently with little oversight. Proven experience multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Candidate must have good communication skills and work well in a team environment.

Depending on the project phase and requirements, personnel may be required to work hours and days corresponding to the customer's work schedule.

Previous experience in analyzing operational and organizational concepts, operational requirements, operational models, operational architectures, operational workflows and associated tasks, and doctrine. Familiarity with military integrated air and missile defense operations and concepts. Familiarity with MS Office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills, including preparing and presenting briefings for customer/executive management as well as communications between engineering functional skills.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
