LOCATION: GAITHERSBURG, MD

Seeking an RF Technician experience working on a variety of systems to include: voice and data systems, HF/VHF/UHF RF communications systems, satellite communications systems, digital and analog peripherals, fiber optic distribution systems, high-speed digital networks, mobile/portable radio systems, encryption systems, LAN/WAN systems, audio-visual systems, and video teleconferencing systems. This position requires experience in testing, installation of RF subsystem of the client's system. The candidate should be experienced in troubleshooting radio and antenna systems. The candidate must also have hardware/system, and electrical distribution engineering experience, and should support the M/DAOC lead and RF engineer with lab and field installation and testing. The candidate must be willing to travel overseas and within the USA.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
 
  1. Experienced RF technician in HF/VHF/UHF RF communications systems, satellite communications systems, digital and analog peripherals, fiber optic distribution systems, high-speed digital networks, mobile/portable radio systems, encryption systems, LAN/WAN systems, audio-visual systems, and video teleconferencing systems.
  2. Experience in testing, installation of RF subsystem.
  3. Experience in troubleshooting RF radio and antenna systems.
  4. Knowledge of tactical shelters, and Communications On-The-Move (COTM) systems and Mobile/Deployable Air Operations Center (M/DAOC) used in austere military environments.
  5. Must also have hardware/system, and electrical distribution engineering experience, and should support the M/DAOC lead and RF engineer with lab and field installation and testing.

DESIRED SKILLS:
  1. Experience in installation of mobile power distribution systems (AC and DC), tactical radio and antennas systems, voice intercom systems, and Satcom on the Move systems.
  2. Wind load calculations for elevated mast and antenna systems.
  3. Design and testing of hardware and systems to MIL-STD-810.
  4. Electrical distribution design, build and installation experience.
  5. Experience working in circuit board troubleshooting and repair, soldering, fiber optic installation and repair.
