Desktop Support Technician II - HP Certification

The Desktop Support Tech in this position will be supporting various client locations and corporate facilities in the Portland Metro area. Tech will provide service in an approximately 30-mile radius around zip code 97223.
 
Work schedule will be 8-5pm, Mon-Fri with some after-hours overtime, including occasional overtime for server work (to take place before / after office hours).
 
Overview:
  • Provide break-fix support at the component level including imaging support – primarily HP products (laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, monitors) – performing diagnostics, replacing hard drives, system boards, screens, etc.
  • Install / deinstall / replacements unbox and setup of PC, verify PC functionality, confirm client is successful at logging in, remove old equipment, transfer data during replacement installs
  • Position requires full ownership of request: receive ticket, review details, call client to schedule, order parts, track parts, perform work, document work performed, track mileages and work time, confirm client is satisfied, then close ticket
 Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of hands-on break-fix experience in the field
  • HP certifications a plus – must be obtained within 30 days of onboarding
  • A+ certification a plus
  • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
  • Enthusiastic about technology and willing to learn and stay on the cutting edge
  • Excellent customer service skills and impeccable follow-through to customer satisfaction
  • This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check and use of a personal vehicle
