Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician needed for project (after hours) work, 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM (plus overtime, probably).
  • Resource will be required to drive to different sites (1 site per night) and remain onsite through the task duration until properly released
  • Resource(s) would be responsible for Identifying Authorized Technology / Hardware, Handling of Obsolete Technology / hardware:
    • Assess the current technology / hardware in the control room and remove identified obsolete hardware
    • Complete Cable Check: verify power distribution between the UPS, Power Strips, and Equipment in the rack
    • Secure Power Cables in Control Room: ensure all power cables are bundled, locked, and secured
  • Resource(s) rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the project
  • Resource(s) will be provided a point of contact and respond to Manager / Lead in preparation for project as well as directed points of contact for the project
  • Resource will be required to complete some online training and or attend web conferences so that they can support the project
  • Project work experience required
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with end users
  • Detailed and organized
  • Ability to communicate and be personable, as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environments
  • Project or deadline driven work experience
  • Be responsive to communications such as email, text and voice calls
Special Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation (reimbursed as needed) and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work on a ladder or lift and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, or work on knees as required to pull or plug cables
  • Ability to work after hours to meet project deadline
  • Smartphone with tethering / hot spot capabilities (reimbursed within guidelines)
