Our Help Desk Call Center Support Techs spend their days on the phone coordinating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting incoming employee calls for a wide variety of clients and industries. They are the first point of contact for all technical support service requests. These are requests for support for IT / Technical issues involving desktop and laptop applications, software, and network services from local personnel or from employees using remote network access.
 
Top 2 Must Haves:
  1. Troubleshooting skills / ability to follow a technical document
  2. Technical knowledge
Work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
 
Overview:
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems
  • Responds to telephone calls, e-mail and personnel requests for technical support
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system
  • Works under immediate supervision
Qualifications:
  • Entry-level to 3 years of experience in the field or related area
  • A+ certification recommended but not required
  • Knowledge of commonly-used tech support concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines
  • Minimum of a high school diploma required
