Do you want to help shape the future of healthcare and medicine through innovative research and disruptive technologies? Our client is working to accelerate the process of genomics discovery through the creation and use of actionable information. This is a lean but passionate group in the AI and Research Division working in an area with rapid innovation and are looking for a self-driven, innovative, and collaborative Software Developer to join the team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the automated, end-to-end framework used to validate the reliability, precision, and performance of the processing pipeline.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with other members of the team to understand the service architecture and define an end-to-end testing strategy
  • Design and implement an automated testing framework that will ensure the reliability, precision, and performance of the genomics pipeline
  • Create, maintain, and document the test plans
  • Analyze issues, generate and report results, and track bugs
  • Work with the team to identify additional telemetry needed to help identify and resolve production issues
  • Collaborate with the team to mitigate and resolve bugs
  • Create custom, high-quality tools that help drive positive customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • BS in computer science (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience creating test plans and frameworks for SOA and Cloud automation, including integration, performance, and stress testing
  • 5+ years of experience using C#, .NET, and Python
  • Ability to thrive on small, dynamic teams
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, performant, and reliable software
Preferred:
  • Experience working with and contributing to Open Source projects
  • Experience with Agile and iterative development processes (e.g. Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience working with both Windows, Linux, and cloud-based development tools
  • Working knowledge of C, C++, and Java
  • Prior exposure to Big Data, Cloud, and HPC projects a plus
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics and associated tools a plus
