Overview: You will work in a corporate environment located onsite in Folsom, CA with one of our largest and most well-known customers.
 
Your duties will include but will not be limited to: Once a new workstation is rolled out for as part of the New Platform Introduction program; there could be some applications that will not work properly, and it may result in memory leaks, High CPU or other issues. This team needs to analyze such issues, capture error codes, bugs, establish correlation, and provide this information to the product group so that all this can be addressed in chip design OR any required driver updates / patches could be requested from OEMs. 
 
Basic skills: Deep interest in troubleshooting Windows, analyze errors, correlate symptoms to an issue, etc. will be sufficient to start. Anybody who has used Windows OS extensively including registry editing to the core can be the best fit for this position. Candidates should know how OS works and how it INTERACTS with DRIVERS. Performance will be measured if the team does a good job in picking the right driver in the image and systems perform as per baseline performance. If the performance deteriorates this team analyzes what caused and tries to debug / troubleshoot. All the learnings continue to feed into the imaging and NPI so that when the image goes to wider audience it is defect free and can be deployed by SCCM.
 
Thorough knowledge of Windows SysInternal Tools is required.
