Do you excel at creating succinct and witty communications? Do you love putting on the user’s shoes and advocating for that perspective? Are you a storyteller? Then this might be the position for you! Our corporate client requires a Program Manager who can lead the effort, under guidance, to execute the following:
  • Analyze user feedback coming in from multiple sources displayed in a PowerBI dashboard
  • Determine necessary responses, coordinate with appropriate personnel, and deliver the message
  • As part of the 4 week Sprint cycle, develop a set of “Release Notes” that explain the items in the Sprint from the perspective of the average user
  • Coordinate with testers to get screenshots and clarification around specific items in the Sprint and get approval
  • As part of the Sprint cadence, provide wording for tooltips on new features that give the users understanding of controls on the various pages
  • For topics that require larger blocks of text, develop pages to provide those clarifications as part of the FAQs wiki and maintain them over time
  • Provide insight and ideas on ways to drive user adoption and awareness of the internal tool
  • Participate in user interaction and driving awareness at events
  • Participate in design discussions, representing the end users’ views
  • Challenge all assumptions to ensure the best product from the end users’ point of view
  • Work with the team to identify campaigns for key features, determine the most effective channels for communication, and execute
  • Collaborate with larger teams’ communications effort, as many of the upcoming features will represent integration with other tools
  • Create, co-create, collaborate on materials needed to get the word out including but not limited to videos, web pages (SharePoint content pages – providing the content only), training sessions (recorded and live), emails, and surveys
  • Ensure that all materials are compliant with branding and align with overall look and feel
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience required
  • Experience with writing roles (collaborating with a team, writing a blog, creating visuals / putting graphics together)
  • Experience with working with a technical team
  • Experience with tools like Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to create content to be more formal or casual depending on the target audience
  • Ability to create and deliver readiness content for new / updated features
  • Drive the cadence for bi-weekly sessions and participate in preparing materials / topics
  • Excellent skills at using Camtasia, Sway, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PoliteMail, and WordPress
  • The overarching goals driving these tactical tasks are:
    • Driving user knowledge of the tool and how to get the most out of them
    • Creating experiences that cause users to LOVE the product
    • Providing better linkage between user feedback and executed actions
    • Closing the loop with user feedback
    • Support the Ops team in crafting non-routine messages in response to requests for help and support
    • Inspiring users to become evangelists for the tools
