VFX / Motion Designer

The VFX / Motion Designer will create motion graphics and compelling 2D, 2.5D, and 3D elements and animations that follow story beats, balancing strong aesthetics with clear functionality.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Creating motion graphics and compelling 2D, 2.5D, and 3D elements and animations that follow story beats, balancing strong aesthetics with clear functionality
  • Implementing assets and animations from other artists into Unity
  • A knowledge of compositing and the ability to come up with quick post-production fixes
  • Working in the 3D to Unity game development pipeline
  • Helping shape the creative vision and design of Mixed Reality experiences, ensuring quality and consistency of design across teams
  • Working closely with partner teams as well as providing guidance and ensuring visual and interactive consistency to ensure continuity of the creative vision
  • Giving appropriate feedback and providing unique solutions to improve the creative process in a collaborative environment
  • Receiving direction from Creative leads to produce high quality work while operating independently
  • Being a source for positivity and creativity within the team
  • Participating in meetings and reviews and effectively communicating with the team
Required qualifications:
  • Experience and proven commercial track record using mainstream, high end 2D / 3D packages (Cinema4D / Maya / 3DS Max) and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
  • Well-versed in Unity 3D
  • Efficient in 2D and 3D camera tracking software such as PFTrack, After Effects and Mocha
  • Strong sense of timing, motion, and visual narrative
  • Meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex design challenges
  • Motivation to stay organized in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Collaboration skills that inspire and energize your teammates
  • Experience working for a strong consumer brand-focused business
  • Familiarity with video editing, particle effects, and 3D asset pipeline a plus
  • Ability to work well in an agile, low-fi to high-fi process, adapting to frequent changes
  • Deadline driven and ability push the boundaries of next gen technologies
  • Agency or small teams experience desired
