We have two openings for Service Techs on a team that does field support work for approximately 100 clients in the Indianapolis Metro area. The majority of the work is in a 50-mile radius of zip code 46231 – applicants must be local to this location.
Work includes laptop, desktop, and printer support.
Work schedule will be M-F, 8-5 plus the rotating on-call schedule which includes weekends and holidays. Overtime situations are evaluated and approved where needed. On-call is overtime as it occurs after hours and on the weekends.
Top 3 Must-Haves are 1.) Desktop support skills, 2.) Desktop and laptop OEM support experience and 3.) Experience supporting printers and/or MFDs (multi-function displays). This position requires a professional self-starter with the ability to work without constant supervision and a sense of urgency.
  • This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check to be completed
  • Use of reliable, personal vehicle required – miles reimbursed according to CompuCom policy
  • Technician will travel to each client’s location to provide service
  • Must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptops, servers, and printers
  • Works under general supervision
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and printers
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends
  • Interpersonal skills needed to interact with a wide range of users and environments
Basic Needs / Haves:
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required (driving position – reimbursed accordingly)
  • Ability to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • OEM Printer Warranty certifications
  • OEM Laptop / Desktop Warranty certifications
