Solution Architect - Microsoft Dynamics 365

Project Scope:
  • Design, document, build, test, and deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system enhancements that include complex formula fields, field dependencies, validation rules, workflow rules and actions, approval processes, reporting, dashboards, and system upgrades
  • Assess the existing implementation and reengineer to make it more robust and user-friendly
  • Improve the usability of the solution – make it more user-friendly
  • Resolve complex technical issues by taking ownership and collaborating with various internal teams when necessary
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, code development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Lead technical design reviews / approvals on behalf of a team
  • Work independently to make decisions regarding the resolution of issues
  • Develop POCs for partners interested in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 as a solution for their work needs
Outcomes of Deliverables:
  • Functionalities designed and implemented as described in the requirement document.
  • Successful completion of UATs.
  • Documents – Requirement, Test Plan, Functional, Architectural Design.
  • Test suites with corresponding test cases.
  • Knowledge Transfer Plan:
    • Documents (Requirement, Functional, Design) will be expected to create as part of the ongoing work
    • Upskill internal team members by leading knowledge transfer sessions
  • Establishes knowledge of business challenges and priorities to identify opportunities and recommend technical solutions with action plans to improve ongoing business operation and employee experience in ways that add value to the organization
  • Collaborate with the client and implementation team to gather in-depth understanding of the client's business, business operations, and business needs to develop requirements for the configuration, customization, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
  • Define and document business processes, data maps, and consult with end users on requirements, functionality, and solutions; and specify system designs, data, workflow, & logical processes to meet organization objectives
  • Prototype and configure processes in Dynamics 365 to make sure the system works the way your client specifies
  • Run workshops with your clients, consultants, and client leaders to analyze and design solutions for any application, and handle gaps detected during prototyping
  • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from end users and/or technical staff regarding application, system, & reporting issues, and train end users and/or technical support staff on software application
  • Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, solve, and manage systems problems under time constraints with minimal supervision
  • Provide leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the project team through design and development to ensure project requirements are met
  • Participate in all phases of the Application Lifecycle Management, including discovery, analysis, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, code development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Analyze, design, and develop roadmaps and implementation plan based on current versus future state
  • Upskill internal team members by leading knowledge transfer sessions
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or related field
  • Ten (10) years of IT and business / industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including the ability to work with and profile large data sets while giving exceptional attention to detail / accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively through data or presentation
  • Provides Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM functional and technical implementation expertise
  • Good problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • Database (SQL) experience required
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Understanding of unit testing and integration testing practices
  • Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to effectively work through abstract concepts
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps / AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience at a large, public company
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 reporting and analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft reporting tools including Power BI
  • Experience with various information technology platforms and operating systems
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications
