Service Desk – Desktop Support Lead

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains proper records in support of the ticketing system, inventory management systems, and remain current with training curriculum requirements
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and instructions defined to ensure compliance
  • Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems and peripherals
  • Performs basic computer hardware and software installations
  • Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly
  • Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support – includes all issues that may have a negative impact on customer satisfaction
  • Basic LAN and telecom troubleshooting, wiring, patching lines, installing / racking network equipment
  • Afterhours / weekends support as required (working schedule may be adjusted as needed)
  • Additional specific assigned roles and responsibilities will be communicated and included as part of the objective and process
Required Skills:
  • Hardware: Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Telephony Devices (Office, Mobile, etc.), Printers, LAN devices (Switch, WAF)
  • Software: Microsoft Operating Environment (XP, W7, W8, etc.), MSFT Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), VPN, Entrust PKI, Adobe
  • LAN: functional knowledge / troubleshooting
  • Quick learner, team player, strong analytical skills, highly organized
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a GxP or regulated environment
  • Proven experience supporting end user computer systems and/or the following CompTIA (or equivalent) Certifications: A+, Network+, Mobility+
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
