What will you do?
  • Provide Technical Leadership.
  • Leads technical design activities and prepare technical specifications for small to large projects, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues and ensuring solution meets sponsor needs and PLC deliverables.
  • Research, assist in proof of concept activities, and present out new solutions for technology integrations to senior IT and business management.
  • Develop, document, and execute unit test, system integration, and acceptance test using appropriate testing tools for functions of high complexity.
  • Validates performance across the entire technical solution and its components to ensure stability and optimal performance across the multiple functions.
Application Planning & Technical Roadmap:
  • Engage and interact with business partners to assist in prioritizing and planning for enhancements and upgrades to the application and components.
  • Provide consulting services on new initiatives and enhancements (small to large of varying complexity) and help develop proposals for senior management.
  • Assesses, researches and analyzes business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs and PLC deliverables including component reusability, data sharing, and security.
Manage Development & Release Activities:
  • Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
  • Manages the detail aspects of day-to-day operations, provides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching, and development to build the capability of more junior staff and 3rd party vendors.
  • Assist run teams in troubleshooting production issues and coordinate across technical teams to ensure rapid response during outages and issues.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • 7+ years of solution development experience with a preference for services based solutions and comfort across a broad tech base; .NET Framework, Visual Studio, JavaScript , C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, MS SQL Server, SOAP, and REST Web Service.
  • Solid infrastructure knowledge: Windows Server, IIS, and other middleware technologies.
  • DevOps experience and tools exposures such as GitHub, Jenkins, UrbanCode.
  • Experience working on IT projects across project methodologies (waterfall, hybrid, agile).
  • Security knowledge: Well versed with SSL Certs and experience with SSO and using multiple authentication methodologies.
  • Ability to help manage releases for a highly complex environment and the ability to communicate both to technical and business resources.
Nice-to-have
  • Exposure and interest in learning another technology stack (i.e. Java, Scheme, Python, UNIX, etc.).
  • Understanding of network architecture to support both internal and external applications.
  • Familiarity with mainframe system or integration with mainframe system.
  • Talent Management process (recruitment/selection, performance management, performance development/coaching, reward/ recognition).
