Job Description:
The immuno-oncology discovery at Client is seeking a highly motivated research associate/associate scientist to join a group of researchers in executing research aiming to identify and characterize Client therapeutic targets for cancer immunotherapy.  In particular, this position involves translational investigation of patient samples.  The candidate will participate in the characterization of the tumor microenvironment through flow cytometric analysis as well as organotypic cultures.

Required Skills & Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of the drug discovery process and independence in experimental/assay design, data analysis and problem solving. Working knowledge and experience with a wide range of technical skills relevant to the specific biology field. Experience meeting project goals and timelines. Good analytical and communication skills are essential to document and interpret experimental data and write reports. Experience working in a collaborative team environment is also desirable. BS or MS Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or related field. BS and 3+ years experience or MS with 0-2 years experience required.
1. BA/BS or MS in immunology or related field and at least of two years of laboratory work in an industry or academic lab.
2. Experience with tissue culture techniques, preferably with hematopoietic/immune cells and cell lines.
3. Flow cytometry skills (FACS) ideally with the ability to perform multi-parameter analysis.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Investigate the tumor micro-environments using techniques such as flow cytometry.
2. Assay development involving organotypic cultures
3. Write detailed protocols and maintain appropriate documentation.
4. Present his/her research findings to interdisciplinary teams.
