Required Skills :
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Facilitate daily sprint meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings
  • Facilitate and increase the team’s knowledge around agile processes
  • Facilitate root cause analysis within the scrum team
  • Build the team’s responsibility and accountability surrounding sprints
  • Mentor  the team in  collaboration
  • Facilitate positive/constructive conflict
  • Motivate team members in a positive fashion
  • Focus on long-term learning and growth, innovation, research, and improvement for Core Digital
  • Assist in improving the team’s and overall organization’s agile processes; Build strong relationships with the Product Owner and the Development Team as well as senior management and other groups affected by Scrum
 
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certified scrum master or other Scrum certification
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in digital web design and development
  • Experience in performing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.  
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Awareness and experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • History of success working in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills with strong conflict resolution
  • Estimating, planning, and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Quality Assurance skills
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
  • Monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes.
  • Managing and tracking work using management tools like JIRA
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, partners, and team members.
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team including but not limited to HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Java, JSP, OSGi, JCR, Apache Sling, AWS
